It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Detective Jordan Laverty, Badge #1514. Detective Laverty honorably served the citizens of Dunwoody for 8 years, following 3 years of service with the DeKalb County Police Department. His dedication, integrity, and commitment to the community have left an impact that will never be forgotten.

Detective Laverty leaves behind his beloved wife and four children. We extend our deepest prayers and support to his family, his colleagues, and the Dunwoody Police Department during this difficult time.

The Dunwoody Police Foundation is the only organization authorized by Detective Laverty’s family to collect donations.
