The Dunwoody police foundation is an independent, non-partisan organization dedicated to improving policing by financially supporting the Dunwoody Police department and its personnel.


Our overall goal is to improve public safety for the officers and Dunwoody citizens.


Emergency Aid Program

To provide aid to the officers of the City of Dunwoody who have been injured in the line of duty. Provide monetary funds or other assistance based on the needs to and officer and/or their family members.

Community Oriented Partnerships

Designed to improve and assist in making the communities of Dunwoody a safer place to live and work through partnerships between the citizens and the City of Dunwoody Police Department. This program includes education materials and other items that may provide assistance to the citizens of Dunwoody.

Equipment & Training

Designed to support the purchase of special equipment and training for Police Department that cannot be obtained through public funds.

The Dunwoody Police are responsible for patrolling over 13 square miles of residential and commercial property.

The department is comprised of 76 sworn and civilian personnel.

The department is divided into three main divisions:

Uniform Patrol
Criminal Investigations
Administrative Services

A supportive community working closely with their police department is a key ingredient to a safe city. Fortunately, we have always had that positive relationship with our community here in Dunwoody. With the formation of the Dunwoody Police Foundation, I am confident the department and citizens working together can accomplish even more to keep Dunwoody safe.
